It's Derby Time!

This was Evan's first year to participate in the Pinewood Derby for Scouts. He decided he wanted to make a tank. He & Eric worked tirelessly on their masterpiece & in the end it was totally awesome! Evan helped with all the steps along the way and he even did the camo paint job all by himself.

This first picture is of Eric & Evan sanding the car. They got it cut to just the right width & then had to level it out with the sander.

Even Mark got to help out a little bit. Both boys loved using dad's tools!
Here is the finished product on the table after weigh-in on the evening of the Pinewood Derby. Evan was so excited to see how well his "Tankinator" would do.

Although his car didn't win first place for speed, it did win the price for the "Most Unique". Way to go, Evan!
