P.U. & Other Summer Fun

Evan had some friends over yesterday & they ended up having a lot of fun. They played a new game called P.U. where they literally have scratch & sniff cards to smell & try to guess what the smell on the card is. There are "good" smell cards, "bad" smell cards & "mystery" smell cards that they can smell, depending on which square they land on. They had a lot of fun sniffing & guessing away.

They also played the Wii & I got a kick out of watching them twirling, shaking, & swinging their "Wii-motes". In the first video they are playing a game where they try to hit the ball and they swing their "Wii-motes" like a bat. In the second video they have to shake a can of soda & then see whose soda shoots up in the air the highest. Whoever invented the Wii is a genius! Kids are no longer sitting like zombies on the couch playing video games. They interact with each other & use their bodies. Now that's a video game I can endorse & feel good about my kids using! (Evan even does Yoga on the Wii fit!) The videos are a little dark because the sun is shining through the windows in the background, but you can still see what's going on.
